It was discovered that my 5-year-old french bulldog had osteosarcoma in December of 2021, which was very aggressive, so we decided to amputate his leg in April of 22 to stop it from spreading. The recovery period after surgery was amazing - he had a very smooth recovery until June. I'm not sure if the pain and discomfort are related to the weight gain or the need to use one hind leg for balance. While on medication, he has been crying; it is unclear if it is related to anxiety. Despite taking him to the vet three times since June 1, they have not found anything wrong with him. His doctors have prescribed Carprofen, gabapentin, and buphrephine. It's not worth keeping him on meds if he is still in pain. Trying to find out if there are other dog owners who have gotten to this point in their osteosarcoma journey with their pets and if they have any helpful advice for us. In spite of us knowing that amputation wouldn't buy us much time, we knew it would just extend his time here with us but we don't want to see him suffer.

Sincerely- a very sad dog owner </3
