French Bulldog (barking problem)

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forums and I have a French bulldog that is almost 8 months. I know French Bulldogs aren't barkers but it concerns me. I'm not sure if it's a problem but when he was young around 4-5 months old, he didn't have a problem barking. Now that he's almost 8 months, he would try to bark but nothing comes out... It's like something stuck in his throat but he eats and drinks fine so I don't think there is something in his throat. He doesn't like it when I hide in corners so when I do, he barks at me. But after he tries to bark a few times and nothing comes out, he can get a few loud barks out when he keeps trying... It's like he needs to warm up his throat first before he can actually bark. So can someone tell me if I should be worried or not? He barks fine after trying a few times, it's just that he tries but nothing comes out in the beginning. That's what I'm worried about.

A lot of the flat faced breeds have trouble barking normally, because their heads and throats aren't shaped the way they should be, and the vocal chords often can't work right. As long as he's not acting strange and he's always been like that, I wouldn't think anything is wrong other than normal issues for a flat faced dog.

Oh okay thanks for your input! He's not acting strange at all so I guess I don't need to be worried. Thanks!
