Are you sure that's a rat terrier puppy? It just doesn't look like a rat terrier at all to me. Maybe a mix with something larger but it just is too large looking and the large floppy ears aren't very rattie either.

I was also surprised by the ears.

He may be a mix...on the dads side....mom was 100% rattle...the say the dad was even smaller but did not below g to them

And him Sleeping.....I did go and search out some other rat terrier pup pics and his ears look pretty much the same and to me...not any expert by any means...his earls look the same as those....but if he isn't full rat...that is fine...I never had any I tention of breeding or showing

I would have gone for it if you felt comfortable. But, that's coming from me, who has gotten 3 dogs in under 2 years and none are even 2 years old yet. Though, personally I think if it's something you can handle, you'll know - and I think the littermate syndrome is silly, myself.

BUT, since you've gone with one and he is home - congrats. I'm sure they'll be having a good time together soon. :)
