Today I was for some reason looking at Maye's feet. And while feeling her back feet I felt on one of them a bump/growth feeling thing. When I looked (I didn't get a great look since she doesn't really like me touching her paws and it was hidden in her hair) it had the same appearance of her normal pads, black with the same texture and look. The best way to describe it is like a malformed/weirdly shaped carpal pad on her back feet, pretty close to her foot pads and more on the side of the back of the leg. Its definitely not a back dew claw since there isn't a claw. There's even one on her other back paw, but its much smaller. It almost feels like a tick, in size and shape when I just feel it through the fur. Part's of it also feel a bit hard, closer to the skin. It doesn't seem to be causing any discomfert, so i'm not supper worried, there just odd. I'm hoping it was just some weird gene that caused her to grow extra bits of pads on her back feet, and hopefully not something else. She has an appointment to get spayed in a few weeks so were going to have the vet look at them then and see what they think. But I was wondering in the meantime if any one had any ideas of what they were. I cant find any similar information online, and I unfortunetly cant get any pictures since its hard enough just to be able to fell/look at them for any length of time and with all the hair there pretty well hidden. Any thoughts?

I would recommend that you get it looked at soon. Is it tender or is she favoring it a bit. Is she licking it or limping in any way? It could be serious, but it could also be nothing. A good vet should be able to take a look at it and let you know whats really going on. Good luck and keep us posted.

No it doesn't seem to be effecting her at all thankfully, which is why I feel ok waiting the couple of weeks to ask her spay opointment. At least with the bigger one it literally looks like its a continuation of the pad that not attached to main paw pads (if that made sense). Ill deffinitly give update when we go see the vet, I couldn't find any info on this or any pictures that looked similar so I'm at a loss as to what they could be.
