Hi everyone!

Yesterday I adopted a 1 year old german shepherd mix. I'm not sure if he received a dose of Frontline at the shelter he was adopted from. There was no info about it on the adoption papers and when I called the shelter they didn't know if he had been treated with Frontline there.

We'll be going camping soon so I want to make sure he's protected from fleas and ticks. Is it safe for me to give him a dose of it even if he may have received it before?

Thanks in advance!

Our Vet says its ok to dose at 3 weeks if necessary. If you suspect its been less time than that, I would talk to your Vet first.

If your concerned just ask your vet for an oral flea preventive. I had a flea issues at my house and all the dogs had recently had frontline applied, but my vet gave me an oral flea preventive to give them even though they had just gotten frontline.
