My queensland heeler and I have been training and the minute I praise her she starts to lick me. If I move away she will charge towards me and jump to keep licking. If I don't let her lick me she will just lick the air. I'm not sure what to do? When she licks as well she tends to nip a bit. Any tips?

I'd interrupt that behaviour and let herdo an alternative behaviour. Mainly because I'd find it annoying.
excessive licking can also mean that the dog is nervous, so perhaps try working with a less rexciting positive marker (either a ord or a clicker) can help.
I've also seen people working just with handsigns (thumbs up for "you did it right").
