Hello,

I have an eight year old mixed breed. I've had her since she was eight weeks. She's always had sensitive skin and allergies, but recently she's been getting these raw patches on her feet. They do not ooze or scab, but are pink and completely bare of fur. She has one on each foot.

She eats a mix of Acana Duck & Pear and Grandma Lucy's Artisan Fish. The GL is relatively new to her diet, but shouldn't be causing it since it is such a limited ingredient food.

We did recently adopt a puppy, but she is use to having numerous animals in the house and I don't often see her chewing on her feet (which doesnt mean she isn't..)

Has anyone seen this before or experienced it with their dog?

Thanks in advanced!

I can't tell for sure from the pic, but it looks like it could be a hot spot, if it is you need to keep it clean and dry...I would call the vet and describe it to them and see what they have to say, if they think it could be a hot spot then they may tell you to use a specific soap, ointment, or spray depending on how your dog is with topical treatments...
