No one seals the bins at my apartments and there is a hawk nest in one of the trees so there are bones just lying around sometimes. Yesterday afternoon Echo crunched down on a small squirrel or chicken bone and managed to swallow a piece before I got the rest out.

Minor vomiting and diarrhea this morning, no blood, eating okay not lethargic, vet appointment at midday.

Has anyone had experience with something like this?

Cooked or raw? I guess if it was squirrel it was raw. I would not worry about a piece of raw bone my dog eats them all the time, cooked would be more of a concern. Hopefully, all will be well.

Thanks for the replies! I'm not sure if it was cooked or just sun baked, I'd be less concerned if i knew it was raw.

So a few bits showed on x-ray but the vet is pretty confident they will pass. Monitoring heavily for 24 hours just in case there was a perforation.
