Hello i am doing a course in as level business, and have chosen to do a dog walking business as a fictional scenario.
I have to find out what people like from a business like this... please be kind, i have done this elsewhere and had many internet trolls making it difficult, thankyou for your help!!:)

1) do you have a dog ( do not answer if you do not)
2) would you use a dog walking service if it was fairly priced, for example if you was working, or on holiday?
3) would you use a dog boarding service if it was proffesional and also fairly priced?
4) how much would you if you had to, pay for a) dog walking b)dog boarding?

1) Yes
2) Probably not, my dog has behavioral problems we are working on.
3) Yes
4) $20-$30/day for boarding.

FWIW, you may want to look at websites of local companies around your town for the pricing question. This will vary greatly from state to state.

1) Yes.
2) I exercise my dog myself. I think I would only do this if I had a puppy, and I was working full-time out of my home and didn't have anyone else to pop in to check up on the puppy. But then, the puppy wouldn't need a walk, play-time in the yard and a pee break would be better.
3) Yes, I have in the past.
4) I'm not sure.

2) I always have enough time to walk my dog, not big deal so no need for a walker.
3)Yes. I work at a boarding kennel and would board my dog there.
4)No more then 20$ a day for 1, 35$ for 2, or 45$ for 3.

2. No, I walk her myself or my husband walks her.
3. I prefer that she stay with family if we have to go out of town. I don't have any issues with boarding and will board her if I need to.

1) Yes.
2) No. We make time in our schedule.
3) If absolutely necessary. Ex. We're going out of state for about at week in 2014 for my grandparents 50th anniversary. We would leave him with family, but all family is also going to the anniversary. We have enough time to plan this to meet our expectations.
4) Depends on quality of care and if it meets my expectations. I would like to stay in $20-$30 per day range.

Also, if you are soliciting people for responses for your survey, it brings credibility to your research if you proofread your questions and introduction.

2) No, I find someone I know and trust to take her if I am away, but in general where I go, my dog goes. Only if she is comfortable with that person. I make time to exercise my dog on my own as well.
3) No, my dog would get overwhelmed and it would be stressful for her.
4) I wouldn't have to.

This is just for my individual dog, some others may do very well in this situation.

2) I wouldn't use a dog walking service. I can make my own time to walk my dog, and giving someone access to my house weirds me out. If I needed my dog taken care of/ out of the house for a day, I would consider day care though.
3) I would board if necessary, but in the past I have always had enough family/ friends that were dog friendly who could watch my dog.
4) I wouldn't pay for walking, but in my area it is approx $20/ walk. The boarding kennel I work for charges $40/ day boarding ($50 during "peak" periods like Christmas), which is fairly average for my area.

Yes, 5 dogs.

No I wouldn't. No stranger would be able to get to my dogs and live to tell the tale.

No we wouldn't board as we have a lot of dogs and a lot of land. We have a relative that is familiar to the dogs come over and care for them. Again, a stranger wouldn't survive!

1) I have 2.
2) Yes. However it wouldn't depend on the pricing, it would depend on who was walking my dog. I would have to meet with the walker, interview them on their training methods, among many other things.
3) I would not board my dog overnight anywhere, whatsoever. I have left my dogs at a very reputable Doggy Daycare place in my area, after ruthlessly scouting them out and interviewing literally every employee, as well as asking dog owners around town.
4) For dog walking, I would pay $20-$30/hour. No boarding.

Also, if you would like to be looked at as a reputable source for animal care, I would consider learning how to spell "professional" correctly, capitalizing, and implementing good grammar. This is, as you mentioned, for a class. Just trying to help (while sounding a little rude. ;) )

Yes, two!

2) would you use a dog walking service if it was fairly priced, for example if you was working, or on holiday?
Currently, my schedule allows me to walk my own dogs, but if something were to change and I had to be away from the house for more than 12 hours, I would consider hiring someone to walk the dogs. On holiday I would make sure my dogs are in someone's care, I would not leave them at home and rely on a dog walker.

3) would you use a dog boarding service if it was proffesional and also fairly priced?
Yes, I try to find friends and relatives, or take them with me when I can, but a couple times I've left them with a boarding service, and I would do it again should I need to.

4) how much would you if you had to, pay for a) dog walking b)dog boarding?
I would pay $5 to $10 dollars for a decent walk (my dogs are easy walkers, it would be the easiest job in the world!), $25 a day for boarding.

Yes, we have 6 dogs (my 3, plus my mom's 2, and my brother's 1).

No, I walk mine and my brother's dogs everyday and my mom walks her 2.

No, we have a very close friend that we fully trust house sit and take care of the dogs.

For a walk, $10-$15 and for care (boarding), $20-$25 per day. However, as I said, I won't use a dog walker or a boarding facility.

2) Yes, I took my puppy to puppy KG and she absolutely loved one of the JR trainers who owns a dog walking service, so even though I don't need it, I let my puppy go hang out with her a couple of times a week as I %110 percent trust her and it is good for my girl to socialize with other dogs. That being said not something I would've went looking for.
3) Never, it cost me my first dog, and I almost died.
4) My girl charges $20 for "A 1 HOUR WALK" she takes the dog's all over, so depending on the day Zocha can be gone for 90 minutes to 3 hours, but the actual walk is at least an hour. That being said I receive texts from her all the time saying she just dropped off Pack A and is puppynapping Zocha for Pack B so she'll text me when they are done to see where I want her dropped off :) I get an exhausted puppy returned 8 hours later. No complaints :)
