Katie plays hard and fast with her ball for 30 minutes some days and loves it so much, we hate to make her slow down or rest for a few minutes. Wait, unless we take the ball away, there is no stopping her from running really hard. Shes a JR mix, 12 lbs and 3.5 yrs old.

The problem is the next day, she won't eat and she walks around like a Old lady. I am guessing she is exhausted from her previous evenings play.

Has anyone else experienced their doggie playing so hard that they have no desire to eat? She almost acts depressed, laying around and just watching me.

Usually, the following day or so, she will perk back up and will be her old self.

I have a JRT mix as well that will play fetch til she drops. I keep her ball put away or she would beg to play ALL THE TIME. She would literally run herself into heat exhaustion if I let her. I only get it out for short periods of time, and in warmer weather I make her take breaks in between every few runs. She never acts weird or tired the next day though no matter how hard she plays.

what a relief to hear your JR plays like this too! I will limit her playing with the ball while temperatures are so high. Thanks for your reply.
