Today I noticed my Daschund licking the inside of his front left leg. When I looked I noticed what seems to be a scab or cut of some sort and he growls at me when I attempt to see it. Thought I should mention that he recently hurt this same leg during a walk, but that does not seem to be bothering him anymore. Another thing to mention is that I have always really noticed him licking, just never thought anything of it. I am pretty worried it is something serious.
Dog has some sort of scab/wound on his front left leg, not sure what it is!

It might be seasonal allergies. My dog had that issue on the front side of his leg and licked it raw. He had to take medicine so he wouldn't be itchy. It could also be caused by foxtails. They often get caught on dogs and sometimes even pierce the skin. My last guess, but probably the most unlikely, is that the god is bored.
If he's snapping at you though, it's probably painful to him.
