Why not feed him less to start with. Reduce the meal by 1/4 cup and see how he does. Do you use a measuring cup when you feed? If the food is kibble you can feed later but I would not leave wet food out then feed later.
Dog Food
My dog never finishes the portion of food I give him, he always leaves something. Is it ok if whatever he doesn't it I feed him to him later on the day? or should I throw away?
