Hey all!.

I am in the process of adopting this little guy from the shelter, and wondering any breed guesses. He's 14 months old at the moment and they say he's a lab cross. Looking at the picture of him in the guy's arms, I feel like he's got some greyhound or whippet in him. He's smaller and thinner than a typical lab, according to the shelter.

Any ideas? I'd guess lab x whippet x something else. The shelter is in Spain, not the US!! (I'm in Europe).

These are a couple of pictures of his brother Saske in profile. To me the snout also seems longer and thinner than a typical lab.

Given that he's from Spain, it wouldn't surprise me to learn he's got some galgo or podenco in his ancestry. Locally popular hunting and working breeds are often over-represented in shelters due to oops litters or less productive dogs getting abandoned at the end of the season.

That's true!! There are so many podencos in the shelter, it's so sad!
