We currently have 3 dogs and the are running a path in the grass and the entire area has turned to mud. I don't really care about the grass but they just keep tracking mud back into the house. Does anyone know of a grass that we can plant to withstand all the traffic or any ideas keeping them running straight down the middle of the yard every time?

It depends on your climate and if the area gets sun or shade. I don't really like it but we have zoysia grass. It's super thick and browns in the winter. I've been told it's hard on the lawn mower. It's in part of the yard and doesn't get muddy but it is like walking on a sponge when it's wet. It is also nearly impossible to get rid of it once you plant it and it spreads by runners.
