Hi Everyone,

In a current situation and would like to source out some tips or help around what to do.
I have a staffy x what we think cattle dog. He is 4 years old. I have had him since he was 1.
He gets along with small dogs or dogs his size however anything over this size he seems to get intimidated.
I have a 8 year old who he has grown up with and has never shown any aggression towards. He also shows no aggression towards other people unless it's a overexcited nip when playing. However there has been two people who he has shown major aggression too.
First person is a little girl who is friends with my son. At first my dog was friendly with her however it quickly turned when he started growling at her now I cannot late this girl near him. If she is at the door he will lunge at her and growl very aggressively. It's really disturbing because my son has a lot of other friends who are around him and he shows no aggression what so ever. The second person he is aggressive to is a family friend who I have not know for long- aggression only goes to growling when she is near but that is enough for me and I will now not bring him around her.
Any ideas why he would be like this to these two people.

Because there is something they are doing or associated with something that freaks him..
My old dog hated our insurence man he would sit behind the guys chair and stare at him.. Later we heard the ins man had been arrested for fraud, our payments were not going to the company but straight into his phoney account..

Another person my BC hated was our neighbours father, Oscar was a gentle soul who loved everyone and loved attention but he would kick off as soon as he heard this guys car come round the corner and if the man stopped to talk to any of us Oscar was like a mad thing.. The man was sexually abusing his own grandchildren.

Im not saying any of this is the case in your circumstances but just be aware that dogs can often sense things about people that we cant. Listen to your dog..
