The title is pretty self explanatory i guess. I recently found out about the VEO, but I can't find much reliable information on the internet about the breed. Sure, the origin, history and standart are explained but there isn't much about the temperament, needs, typical behavioral quirks/ issues etc.
Does somebody know maybe something more about the VEO? Had experience with it? I'd be very grateful for every answer.

Thank you.

Please excuse my English, it is not my first language.

No, that's why I'm asking. The east european shepherd was bred in the 1930'-1950' in Russia, as far as I know. They needed a quiet and big working dog that was capable of surviving the Russian winter. It was used by the KGB and for guarding gulags. To breed the VEO they crossed the GDS with some
russian breeds, i think the caucasian shepherd and some sorts of mastiff.

If you google them, there are more informations referring to the history and standard of the breed, but sadly not much about its temperament. I'd love to know if someone had (first--or second-hand, it doesn't matter) experience with the breed. I'm just curios about it.
