I have a 5-year-old Border Collie called Max. He is an amazing dog and is also my emotional support dog. I rescued him roughly a year ago from a very abusive situation. He was kept in a dark stable 24/7 covered with his own filth, beaten and had to fight for his food.

When I first got him it took him a week to start eating and two weeks to stop cowering in the corner, hiding from everyone. It took him about 3 months to learn how to play and the first time he ever saw a ball, he didn't know what to do with it. Some people should be put down!

he has really come a long way but he has some interesting quirks. If he doesn't get all the attention, this is what happens lol

1. He’s gorgeous. 2. Thank you for saving him 3. I don’t think he was done playing. Or should I say I don’t think he was done letting you play with “his” toy.

Border Collie’s were bred for specific things and I think those things come out in their everyday behaviors when they’re not actual “workers”. For example, it looks like he’s trying to entice you like he would if he were on a farm and trying to get sheep to cooperate .

My dogs do funny things too like talk to me to get my attention and one plays with a blanket. I’ll try to get video.
He is beautiful! I am glad you saved him

My dog looks silly when he is being playful.
Gorgeous!

Could be Echo's twin in actions, play is life!
My dogs howl as a group for their meals. They sound like a pack of coyotes.
