I have a approx 6 year old rescue - cockatoo/schnauzer mix who came to me about a year ago. His tail was docked - i am assuming when he was a puppy. He had some skin issues which were eventually taken care off. But he has constantly licked and scratch his docked tail area. It’s horrible to see him trying to get any relief and constantly contorted. I have no clue how to help him. Pls advise.

He’s on Farmers Dog food right now. And it’s only his docked tail area that he keeps trying to lick/scratch.

Sounds like there's a bit of residual sensitivity. Might be worth speaking to your vet about it.
