He looks fine to me. What is his weight? GSD usually look lanky at that age. They typically don't start filling out till bout 2-3 years of age.

i don't have a way to measure accurately until his next vet checkup but i can estimate he's well over 65 pounds, he is a bit taller than average though, so he should weigh a tad more than average as well.

oh god i just noticed i screwed up the title.

Ok, he sounds fine to me. Gsd's have that "skinny look" that's normal for them. Like I said they look lanky till they mature which is 2-3 years of age. My girl just turned 10 months and weighs 78lbs right now, mine also is the larger size gsd. Look straight down at him, he should have an hour glass like shape and the ribs do show a bit, that's how gsd are. In your pics I was able to see that hour glass shape. He looks fine, don't worry, your good!

thank you! you should see his puppy eyes when he's trying to get me to do something, it's absolutely adorable.
