Charlie is soon to be 5 months on the 15th. This morning we were playing with his toy ribbon and I pulled it and his left canine TOOTH FELL OUT. He bled very little and I panicked! I saved his tooth who knows why but I would like to know if it is his puppy or adult tooth. I attached the picture of the canine if that helps :(

I feel so bad and I cried :( I am hoping it is his baby tooth :( I feel like the worst mom! THANK YOU!!

At 5 months old, it's more than likely a baby tooth. His adult canine will grown in. Good luck!

A healthy dog can literally hang on their adult teeth, but not on their puppy teeth. I really doubt you pulled an adult canine tooth. If you had your pup would probably have been screaming in pain.

Adult teeth normally have a narrower pulp cavity than that tooth in the photo so pretty sure that is a deciduous tooth. However, you didn't get all the root as it's broken off... good thing puppy tooth roots tend to break down and get resorbed pretty easily so leaving some of the root in may not be a problem (almost always is a problem with adult teeth).
