We were incredibly lucky to adopt a Spanierd pup just over a year ago. He was GS x Spaniel.
Unfortunately he passed away a few days ago, we're waiting for results from a post mortem which we asked as he was absolutely fine 2 days prior.
Can anyone point us in the direction where we may find another Spanierd?
He was just the most beautiful boy with an amazing temperament and our other BC girl is missing him so very much.

Any help or advice would be most greatly received.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I'd caution you against trying to get another dog to be ”like” him though, as that will almost certainly lead to disappointment. You will never find one that matches.

By all means of course get another dog, but expect it to be unique. As your boy was unique himself.

And, if you are interested, rehoming centres are reporting a surge in dogs being given up as all of the first wave of lockdown puppies suddenly lose their novelty.

Thank you. I think we're not necessarily looking for another Alan, just the similar breed if possible.

We're looking for a dog who is good with other dogs as we have a BC bitch and also one who is good with prole too.
