Hi!
I'm new here, and I thought I'd just ask a quick question...
We just put our old female down a week ago, and, we all being somewhat sad, we paid alot of attention to our other dog, Mac, a 4yr old Border ColliexLabxAussie Shep. mix. Then, on Mon., when we were back to the usual buisy routine and couldn't play with him at all, we came home to a drooling dog with his tether chain wrapped around the tree and his water dish dumped. Over the next few days we watched him carefully, and only today he had seemed all normal (no drooling, the lethargy was over by Tuesday).
Me and my family are pretty sure that it was depression, but what do you all think?

I agree this could be it, but I am concerned if he wrapped his tether around a tree and was drooling it is because he was choking himself...does he have to be tethered while youre not home? is he crate trained at all to where he could be kept in a safer situation?
