Just received mine today, and it worked like a charm on my 3 chipped dogs. I have seen this brand and model for over $70!
It can memorize the numbers and upload them to a computer too...recharge through the USB port. It has no off button which they forgot to mention in the directions, but turns off by itself in a minute or 2 of no use.
Having heard stories about chips moving, it was easier and much cheaper than bringing my 3 dogs to the vet and I always forget to ask for a scan when they go in for their checkups and shots. Good news is that none of them have moved, including the one that was injected over 8 years ago.
IMO, they are great for having in the house in any event.
