I noticed that my dog has a cyst on her toe. On the same paw but different toe she seems also to have a strangely shaped digit I had never noticed and don't believe to have existed previously (the shape pushes the nail at an odd angle). My vet thinks I am wrong and that I just never noticed the strangely shaped toe before which she believes my dog was born with. The vet also only wants to run tests on the cyst that is inflamed.

Any ideas, info or experience with this would be soooooo appreciated.

She is the sweetest the girl and is friendly with everyone....I feel so bad this is happening to her.

if you are feeling the vet is missing something, take her for a second opinion. you know your dog better than anyone. no harm in having her checked out by another vet.

surgery to amputate toe

Had a biopsy done on the swollen cyst attached to her toe.

We have an 8am appt tomorrow July 6th for surgery to amputate her toe and a lymph node.

The surgeon will then slice the cyst in mulptiple pieces and biopsy all the segments. I will have the results in a week.

She is staying overnight. Please send prayers her way.
