Might've just found somewhere to do both with Karma! The place I used to train at for agility with Abby moved last year and this summer have started offering both Rally and CU classes!

I'd previously looked into some CU classes, but the place that offered them required dogs to have their CGC to be eligabile for the class... According to an old class mate they don't require CGC so Imma e-mail and see about registering Karma for CU classes and then depending on how that goes Rally and maybe eventually Agility classes! Super stoaked to hopefully start getting her involved in more sports!

I was reading the Control Unleashed book to try to get some advice for working with my crazy little terrier. I really enjoyed it! What are the classes like? I think it's weird that they would require CGC because the book was about training dogs that are anxious, fearful, reactive, easily aroused, distracted, have poor impulse control, etc. Not really dogs that would earn their CGC without the CU training first. Is this a different program from what I'm thinking of?

@revolutionrocknroll

You're thinking of the right CU. it's the class based on Leslie mcdevitt's book. It'll be my first time taking the class so not sure what it'll be like, but I'm looking forward to it as the book has given me some great ideas for working with karma. And yeah I was completely confused about the CGC requirement, but I guess it's just that one facility because the instructor doing the class at my old agility places also does the CU classes at the place that requires Dogs have their CGC so who knows.
