I'm calling it constipation but it may not be exactly that. My teacup chihuahua has a lot of trouble pooping. She poops at least once a day, but it just seems to be a huge struggle for her. I can't really tell if she is in pain, but it's a strain on her for sure.
Someone had suggested to me that it may help her to feed her a pouch of wet food a couple times a week in addition to her regular kibble, but it hasn't helped yet. Are there any remedies I can try to make it easier for her to go, without having to give her medication of some sort? I'm afraid any kind of anti-constipation meds might make her sick.
