The geriatric blood panel included ALT levels, which apparently would show elevated liver enzymes if Cushing's was present? ALT levels were normal, so I assume that rules it out? But I'm very open to being corrected here if I have this wrong!

From what I've been reading there's a certain blood liver enzyme that may increase in response to increased cortisol levels, but the liver test is just done to see if more indepth testing for Cushing's should be done Cushing's Disease - Testing | VCA Animal Hospitals

Thank you for this information. I will definitely discuss this possibility with my vet as well. Some of the symptoms definitely overlap with hypothyroidism. Thanks for the links - useful reads!
