Hello everyone,

We will be taking a road trip @2600 miles round trip. We've traveled with our girl Georgia before & she's fine on the road. We've never taken Stewie on a long trip though. The longest trips have only been about an hour. On two occasions he threw up.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with cocculus indicus or nux vomica for Stewie in case he feels barfy. I have Cerenia, but I'd rather not bring out allopathic meds unless nothing else helps. Also, where to buy it.
TIA
Elizabeth

Frequent stops and a rolled down window can also help curb nausea. Try not to feed at least 3 hours before travel if you can help it as well, a full belly usually makes travelling nausea worse. I also found air fresheners made travel sickness worse for my girl :)

Thank you all so much for your replies!! Got caught up in the traveling. Day one, Stewie did get sick a few hours in. But the next morning I only fed him a small amount and he was fine. I've been feeding them both little bits throughout and it does the trick. Our vet recommended meclizine hcl, but thankfully we don't need it.
