So this is actually a question for a friend who is giving their puppy canned tripe I think the Tripett brand which contains: Green Beef Tripe, Water, Garlic, Carrageenan Gum.

I read somewhere that Carrageenan Gum is not good for dogs, is this true? She normally gives them frozen to her puppy in kongs throughout the day and she absolutely loves them and keeps her busy for quite some time...

I just came across this article a couple of days ago. This is the part that really made me mad.
”The common food additive carrageenan predictably induces intestinal inflammation in animal models.” Of huge significance, this paper also states that Carrageenan (CGN) “has been used for decades, to induce inflammation” in laboratory animals to study the effectiveness of anti-inflammatory medications.
