Can't potty train (un-cratable) adult husky
We have had our husky since 12 weeks, we got him a from a reputable breeder, when we first had him we had him trained in a day to go on the grassy patch in our apartment. We could never crate him due to his seperation anxiety, he has broken teeth and have had bloody paws. we moved to a house with a yard ( fenced ) and have tried for years to potty train him, he simply likes peeing and marking in the house. he could be in the yard for hours and doesn't really care to go, almost as if he is holding it to mark around the house. he knows how to go outside, we hike and go to dog parks ALL THE TIME and he has no problem going there, and he's gone in the yard, he just never fully goes and gets it all out. We have tried praising him for months when he would go, but he doesn't care that much, same with treats, we tried putting his face near it and saying bad, but again, he didn't care. we tried putting bellybands on him, but he has no problem peeing on himself. He isn't gone for more then a few hours at a time, we take him exercising daily ( not walks, bike rides for miles ) he's on a great diet ( orgin and acana, not cheap ****ty purina ) we've talked to trainers and they advice " stay at home with him and just monitor it" which we have done, and when we are home, he's fine, its the minute we leave, he gets bored and pees in the house. He is trained in every other aspect, amazing on leash, heels, perfect auto sit ( when I sit he sits immediately ) knows his fair share of tricks, he listens and understands for the most part, He is in great health, we've been to the vet about it and there isn't an issue, he's social, I just can't get this potty training thing.
We need unpopular advice at this point, we've done everything most books talk about. has anyone had this and found a solution?
