Does anybody here know of any such animal docs in Hoosier State that perform this canine snipping that is often done on men for contraception?

I had this done in on my male Lab in 2000 outside of Boise, ID. I had to get a referral to a specialist because many a vet in town didn't do this.

It was about $200 for this procedure then. My male Lab would mate with my Lab bitch but there was never any worry about unwanted litters. My bitch was left intact and came into season like clockwork.

This method retains hormones as well as a good cosmetic appearance better overall dog looks. Male dogs look better whole and sex hormones keep them fit and trim.

It is simpler than tubal ligation on females as has minimal surgical invasiveness.

In Fort Wayne, IN, people are charged $100 a year for each and every intact dog for a dog license but only $10 for a spayed/neutered dog. This is BS!! Senior dog owners get the $5 spayed/neutered rate. If I were to show documentation of vasectomy, I'd be hoping I would get the cheap dog tag rate for a male with snipped procedure each year. The dog license special should extend to males with vasectomy and females with tube ligation.
