My dog has this growth in his lip. I've been told by the vet that is nothing to worry about but if it keeps growing and bleeding the best option is to remove it.
It keeps.bleeding and growing so I'm desperate for some help!
I'm looking for some alternative medicine to treat it since my dog is 14 and a half years old so the anesthesia may be too much to handle and also I've been told by the vet that the growth may come back in the same spot.
Here is a picture...

your query is titled mast cell tumor... why do you think this is a mast cell tumor? You NEVER want to just leave one of those alone- get rid of it as soon as possible... but sure is a very atypical mast cell tumor if that is what it is. Either way I certainly think it should be removed. Age is no indication that a dog can or can't handle anesthesia... health is. If your pet is otherwise in good health, should be able to deal with most anesthetic protocols well.
