Took my buddy to the emergency vet the other day for panting and circling and the vet was pretty certain to tell me he has brain tumors. Basically was wondering if there are any other problems that he could possibly have that have similar side effects of a brain tumor ie epilepsy or doggy dementia etc. The mri test is 3000 dollars and isn’t really feasible but will do anything in my power to help my best friend when he needs me the most. Thanks for your understanding.

Circling could be caused by vestibular disease, which affects the inner ear and therefore causes the dog to be unbalanced, and from that sometimes nauseous. The nausea could then cause the panting but then again, so could pain.

But, vestibular disease itself can be caused by different things, sometimes a deep ear infection (fairly easily treated); but sometimes a tumour I'm afraid.

Did your vet check his ears thoroughly?
