I got a new boxer puppy from an unknown breeder when he was 7 weeks. No papers. He is now 5 months old and weighs 50lbs. He's very stocky and has big everything. A couple people have mentioned he could be mixed with mastiff or some other similar breed. I don't care either way but I was just curious if anyone else thought so.

it's difficult to say with pictures where you don't see the body.
try to make him stand for your picture and then make the photo from the profile.

the face looks a lot like a boxer, but if he's stocky he could be mixed with another bully breed...most Boxer I know were pretty lanky at that age.
perhaps American Bulldog.

if you don't have reliable papers to proof that your dog is purebred, you can always assume that there is some kind of other breed on the mix.

The pictures could be better (like if you showed a side view of the dog standing up), but from what it looks like, definitely part Boxer, probably some Mastiff in there, and maybe some Great Dane. It depends on the size when he's older.
