My dog Tyler has had bloody urine on several occasions, but only when he is very stressed out (we leave him alone at home for longer than a day). He doesnt have any other signs of something wrong and never happens when we are home. Have any ideas?

Sounds like either a UTI, bladder stones or if he is not neutered a prostate infection, or if he is older it could be a tumor in the bladder. In any case I agree with the above posters...he needs to be seen right away. If you wait too long he has the potential to have a urethral blockage which is very serious.

Stress cystitis. I've seen it many times in anxious dogs (I've worked over a decade with shelter dogs and those with separation anxiety). It can lead to a thickening of the bladder. There are medications to help, and the urine should be checked, as it can also lead to infections (which can also lead to stones).
