This started early this morning that I know of. I can read his signals and take him outside to do his business and have not noticed anything unusual.
The blood comes out after his pee. Does anyone have any experience on possible causes. I intend to schedule a visit tomorrow with the vet. He is an adoptee and his estimated age is 11 to 12 years and he is a beagle.

Echo had similar symptoms, the blood went away as soon as she got treated by the vet. She was so much happier afterwards I think she was in pain. Apparently there were crystals in her urine that irritated the urethra causing bleeding.

This was just Echo's experience and your beagle may have something different, the vet will likely do a urine analysis, mine appreciated me taking in a sample collected on the day of the appointment. I turned a pee pad over to do this.

Good point.
A sterile sample would be the way to go. I noticed that he has a need to urinate about every three hours and if I do not take him outside immediantly, he will let go anywhere on the carpet. He use to be able to hold his urine but he has not done that. So it does appear something is irritating his urinary tract. I put down pee pads but he does not use them. I think its because I use one under his feed and water bowls.

Update:
The urine test was negative. The Vet said to keep him on the antibiotic for another week and then to give her an update. On 04/07, I did see a small amount of blood but it was much less before the use of the antibiotic.
