So, I'm going to throw fawn cane corso in the mix. That could account for the coat, the square-ish face & lips and larger overall size. I believe, if I'm not mistaken, they also commonly end up with blue eyes.
Can you tell us a bit about his personality?
EDIT: I just looked at your other pics (in your bio) and I have to maybe take back my comment about a cane corso and say instead a Dutch Shepherd. His body in one of your pictures just seems much more shepherd'ish than in the other photos.
