Hi I'm just wondering how toy poodles can be, I know that dogs can be very different but it's still really intresting. How many times a day do you take your dig out? For how long and at what times? How are they with kids and bigger dogs? I already have a male lab (I will spay him), should I have a female "toy"? How is your female toy?
(Sorry if wrong forum I'm new here...)
Thank you!

it depends on the dog. toy poodles are dogs, like every other dog, just easier to break.
I personally never noticed a big difference between toys, Zwergies and medium, but I'm also not the biggest poodle pro in the world. (With standard it seems to be what they do...some of them were pretty serious dogs.)
the ones i met were energetic, confident, barked a lot, and were very good in adapting to their owners lifestyle.
Poodles are great dogs, when mentally and physically excercised enough. :)

I generally would prefer a medium or standard poodle with children, since small dogs can be very delicate and I'd be a bit worried that the children could hurt them.
the same with the combinaqtion of big dog and small dog...it depends on the temperament of both dogs, but generally, having two dogs that are more similiar in size can minimise the possibility for the small dog to get hurt accidentally.
