Our beagle Daisy is 13 years old, diagnosed w IBD in Sept after three trips to ER this past summer with vomiting and bloody diarrhea. Such a frustrating disease and we are still trying to get the meds/diet correct for her. Just looking for anyone else trying to manage this for support and advice. She had a good 5 week run recently and vet tried to reduce her Flagyl (Metronidazole) in half to see if it would settle down her sudden anxiety in her crate (thought maybe it was a neuro reaction despite her being on same dose of Flagyl since Sept and crate freaking out just started few weeks ago). Within a day she vomitted twice and now has looser stool so we are going back to the old dose and going back to see him again Wednesday unless she becomes an emergent case before that. Sigh.

So sorry to hear that Daisy isn't doing well. How was her IBD diagnosed? Have you guys tried different foods just in case it's food sensitivity related? Probiotics can sometimes be helpful, especially since she's also on metronidazole.

Have you tried a home cooked diet of something like ground turkey and a couple of ground steamed veggies.
