Hello everyone,

Let me just get this as brief as possible.
Does anyone know what skin problem is this??
I have included a picture of my dogs elbow.
I have three GSD( 1 M , 2 F) and the male has some sort of I cant really describe what this is thats why i post this picture. It doesnt really look like a pressure sore to me because it is invading in the inner side of the elbow.
It looks like pores are inflamed while having cracks.
I have been to a vet and checked negative for mites, the vet said it might be fungal problem, ive been told that Apple Cider Vinegar could help so i diluted
60% ACV 40%water and have been spraying it on my dogs elbow for about three days now but it still seems to get worse. My dog doesnt show sign of itching its just that when he's resting/lying down he keeps on licking it for quite a while. :ponder:

by the way, i havent seen it bleeding (yet) nor have i seen any pus (yet)

please share your opinions and ideas, i have made some research but cant really find something like this...
We would do anything for our dog when we love them so much ...

Find a veterinary dermatologist. You need more help than apparently your regular vet is able to give you.

Is the darker area a natural colour of your dog's skin?
Did the vet offer any treatment options?
It is hard to say whether the area should be open or covered -- that really depends on what you are dealing with. Sorry, wish I could be of more help.

I think the darker part is already there before the swelling or whatever this is appeared.
yeah it really is hard to decide, but its not an open wound so i guess i could cover it up? hhhmmm..

I think you should probably get a second opinion from another vet. It really looks like it needs some professional treatment. Sorry!!
