I think you'll be hard pressed to find any others of those anywhere. o_O That's a truly bizarre mix. Not trying to sound judgmental but why are those two breeds crossed...? I have a Cattle Dog mix too but she's got Pointer and Catahoula too. You know for certain this dog is half ACD and half Boston?

I have no idea why, all I know is that's what the lady said he and his siblings are. Came out adorably though
If she knew the parent dogs and his siblings that's probably what he is, for the most part - people flub and call ACD mixes "heelers" sometimes but they reliably know the basic type. If the person doing the guessing doesn't know the parents, then it's usually time to take breed claims with a grain of salt - not that it's a matter of utmost importance.

It doesn't strike me personally as odd that ACD/Boston mixes happen, though. They're both reasonably common small dogs and people are cavalier about animal reproductive management.

Anyway since you seem to have the only "Boston Cattle Dog" on the forum and are making broad claims about its cuteness I vote you just use this thread to post more photos of your dog. I for one would like to see more than just her nose and her eyeballs. :p

Or you could turn it into a general discussion of ACD mixes. Might be fun to see how they vary.

He's cute! I'm surprised by the floppy ears, as both the mixes have prick ears. His ticking is awesome!

Let's see some pics of your Australian Cattle/Blue Heeler/Red Heeler/Queens and Boston Terrier mix's. :D

Charli is 3 and is a rescue of severe abuse and neglect (caged for 3 years by a hoarder) we suspect she is a Boston/blue heeler mix, but won’t know for sure without a DNA test. Sassy, fiesty, and a total goober. We’ve had her 7 weeks and have watched our fear aggressive pup slowly come out of her shell. Love seeing all the pics!

I know this is an old post but I just stumbled across it! We just rescued a ACD mix (mom was ACD, dad was unknown) from a shelter. We did a DNA test on him and it came back 47% ACD and 17% Boston Terrier. Along with Ridgeback and Pointer at 10%. He looks similar to yours!
