I rescued this puppy about 5 months ago, and the vet I take her to estimated her to be a month or two old at the time. She's been the most wonderful and well-behaved dog I've ever had, and I'm happy I found her in autozone's trash pile before something happened! I cannot for the life of me figure out her heritage though. When she was younger, the vet said she had a lot of German Shepard, but at 7 months, her broth has slowed and she's only 1/3 the size of a Shepard. Any guesses would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

She's probably simply a true mutt. Which can be hard or impossible to deceiver. When mixes breed for generations you get dogs that look similar to her. She clearly has at least one breed in her background that was longer coat. German Shepherds are a common culprit.

My girl's brother has the same markings as your girl. Their dad was undeniably, without a doubt, pure mutt. lol
