Hey one and all.
The names Katie, and I'm (clearly) a newbie.
I'm just sixteen, but have been surrounded by dogs all my life.
We have a 'family' dog, though it really is my little sisters.
She's moving soon though, to live with my Dad in Montreal,
so I'll soon find myself dog-less.
Hopefully not for long though!
I am looking into getting a puppy in the (hopefully near) future.

Anyway! Enough of the history lesson!
It's nice to meet you all, and I hope we all get along
and can be great friends!

hello!
I'm looking for a small-ish dog really.
Considering getting a shiba. <:

Haha, of course!
Actually, we got my little sisters dog through a shelter.
So I have looked into adopting from a shelter.
Unfortunately the shelter near here is small and only seems to have larger dogs at the moment.
But I'm continually checking in as much as possible in hopes of finding something!

And I have to say, Clover is gorgeous!
I love the coat. <3

Hi and welcome!!:D

I hope you will find the dog you want!...and of course we will help!
Do you have a specific breed/mix in mind? any "special" requirements?

@alfi
hello and thanks for the welcome! <3
I'm sort of looking into shiba's. :>
And no, no specific requirements.
I just prefer them on the smaller side.

@fawkese
haha, of course. xD

Oh, no I haven't looked lately actually.
I'll have to check it out.
thanks for the tip!

Welcome!!!

We were looking at Shiba's as well when we found Mikey. Met several at the dogpark since and although they are gorgeous I've seen them act very husky-like: very aloof (Had one do a whole 3K loop with me and Mikey as the owners called and called their dog-who ignored them lol) -not for the faint of heart but beautiful I agree :) You'll have to keep us posted on how the 'dog hunt' goes :) :)

@mischief
thanks for the welcome!

@mikey
yeah, I've heard they're bad at recall unless you really train them. xD
but they seem to be dogs that have tons of energy and they ARE gorgeous!
going for runs with them will definitely keep me in shape!
hopefully they don't mind the snow though. xD

don't worry, I definitely will!
currently searching for a breeder near here,
so hopefully that works out!
