Another dog bit my dog in the mouth

Ham was playing with another dog and I think it nipped him in the mouth. There was some bleeding but I couldn't tell what the source was. That happened 4-5 days ago.

Today I noticed a small gash in the roof of his mouth and I guess it was the injury he got last week. I can't tell if it is infected or not or if he needs to go to the vet. Does anyone know or think this looks serious?

The mouth is one of the dirtiest places on an animal(and person) as far as bacteria. I suggest you either take the dog to the vet or get good pictures and send them as an attachment to your vet's office. A mouth infection/abscess can be serious. It may not be infected yet but you cannot rely on internet advice as to what stage of healing the gash is at now.
