I have a 15 year old manx cat. I took her to the vet last week. The vet said shes in really good shape for a 15 year old outdoor cat. The only thing he was a little concerned about is that shes a couple pounds underweight, and recommended she has bloodwork done soon to check for hypothyroidism. To be honest. It's my moms cat. And it had never been to the vet, and my mom didnt want to take he just because she looked healthy. My conscience took over, and I took her to get checked out. So, if It turned out she had hyperthyroidism, it would end up costing a lot of money. Even if we cured it, she is already pretty old. She lived a long life. Would it be really that bad to have her put down?
