Luke is an adorable black lab - pitt mix. He came into my life when I went to the local shelter to pick up a pretty little white female and fell in love with him the second I sew him. He was very abused by the time I got to him at 7 weeks old. He had cigarette burns on his head and wanted nothing but to be hidden away in "mom's" arms when we were out around other people. He is now 9 months old, no longer hides,, he loves white people (me and my husband are white and I'm guessing he is just used to how we look) loves to go for walks, loves his "sister," Lilly (7 months old), loves treats, is very smart and mastered sit, down, and stay by 10 weeks old, is obsessed with fetching, so all in all, a normal young dog. Except when we go to the dog park. He is super aggressive, but only towards some dogs. And when he finds the dog he hates, he is awful. He will bark and chase and harass and molest the other dog until finally he bites them so hard there is nothing anyone can do to get him to let go. I am at my wits end. I don't know what to do. We got him a muzzle, thinking that maybe he would be okay then, but he still was assaulting the other dog just by running him into a fence at the park. Is this something I can train out of him? How do I do that? i hate leaving him at home and taking just his sister to the dog park because he cries and my husband says he searches the whole house for me the entire time I'm gone. I think he is worried he is being discarded again. What should I do? Please help!
