Hi! I have a 1.5y.o golden who's well-trained for her age! I'm moving out of my house in the county to a house in the city and bringing her with me.

My questions are as follows:
1) How do I get her used to the new house/her allowed areas as easily for her as possible?
2) Her usual potty spot is my front lawn or I put her on a lead in my backyard. How can I get her to go in the city, when lawn is not necessarily a guarantee?

Thanks!

1) I found that moving everything in, getting it set up, THEN letting the dog smell out the place is the best thing to do. Not only does this keep the dog from being underfoot during the move, but having all if it's familiar smells (rug, couch, bed) around will reduce the stress it feels.

2) If you can, scope out a place thats as similar to her current place as possible. If there's no lawn/grass you may have to improvise and make a gravel spot on your yard or have her go potty on your driveway so she's used to it.
