I think it looks adorable - but then I am a sucker for dog movies. At least I am when I can turn my "dog brain" off.

Marley and Me gives me some problems - I find myself frustrated at the lack of proper training - yet I still bawl my eyes out at the end.

Looks like a movie that will make me bawl. Standard if there is a dog involved.

The book was one of the best about dogs I've ever read and so heartbreaking I'm afraid to read it again.
Looks really good. :) I'm looking forward to it. And I think my friend's former dog/his co-actor lookalikes is the dog with Dennis Quaid towards the end!
Makes me think that Shiloh is out there and is helping a new person

So I know this movie will make me cry, the commercials almost got me (my dog growing up was named Bailey, and she was a black lab). Although, unlike Marley and Me, this one is slated as a comedy, so I think it's purpose isn't to make me cry.

Depends on how closely the movie follows the book. There are parts in the book that definitely got my eyes misty.... or maybe it was 'a dog's journey' (same author) that was the sad one. Can't quite remember, either way - both great reads. Also 'The art of racing in the rain' is a good dog book as well.

Looks adorable and interesting! The reincarnation theme is a little weird though, I hope they explain what that's about. Like, the shepherd, did she just not have a soul until she was a few months old?

I recently saw the Secret Life of Pets and the Dog Lover too. Pretty disappointed with both of those movies though.
Revolutionrocknroll- You didn't like secret life of pets?

Not really. It was cute, funny, and completely devoid of emotion. You have to understand, I grew up watching Disney and Pixar animated movies.

The Secret Life of Pets, it was like the writers were trying to keep ADHD kids entertained or something- it just went from one thing to the next without stopping for any sort of emotion, character development, or plot development.

It almost got there, when Duke found out his owner died... but he was upset for like half a minute and then they moved on to the next thing- that scene wasn't even about the character, it just set it up so Duke could get caught by animal control. The entire movie was just about things happening. I didn't even cry, and I cry pretty easy during movies- I cried watching Ted the other night!

I mean compare that to the Lion King, or Toy Story, or UP.
thanks for sharing, Sabina88 -- sounds great!!
