I have a 9month old springer/german shep cross. He is pretty placid but a bit nervy. He never barks except when super excited at footballs or v.occassionally at cats when they won't play.
however, he has suddenly started getting really barmy and barking when people come in the house.. he did it to my flatmate the other day and the dog walker this morning. But not to certain friends --the only link I can see is when I answer the door he doesn't do it but if they come in with a key and I am sat down or in another room he barks.
Is this him just being protective or should I be concerned>
