We have four dogs in our house, two 5 year old labs who are brothers, 1 bichon, and 1 poodle mix. One of our labs has recently started cocking his leg on everything in the house even after just being let outside or having tons of time outside to play and use the bathroom. He'll even pee on the floor right in front of us. He's never done this before--no idea what to do!

And now after about a week or two of this our poodle mix whose about 7 has started doing the same thing! Ah! We have carpet throughout a fair amount of our house so this is a pain to clean and we don't understand where this is coming from. Any ideas how to stop it? Where could the behavior be stemming from?

First a visit to the vet with b/w for your lab. Excessive urination and/or breaking of house training could be signs of a medical problem. Diabetes and Cushing s disease come to mind.

Re: agilty collie mom

Hello! Probably should have mentioned this--we have recently taken him to the vet for his normal check up and he checked out all good except for a minor ear infection as he's always swimming!
